BessArte art gallery is proud to present “Sottosopra” (upside down), solo exhibition by Sibilla Stefani.
Mix of lights and shadows, sketched perspectives, soft and subdued colors, all-round representation on a wood box, prepared in the very antique way.
Sublimated shapes, melted in natural and artificial lights, that show an essential poetry; melhancolical atmospheres, animated by little playful fireflies; rough and sharp surfaces, softened by a curvy chromatism.
Sibilla Stefani, born in Lucca in 1967, studied in Passaglia Art School (Lucca) and Università Internazionale dell’Arte di Firenze, where she specialized in restoration of antique canvas and fresco. During her restoration activity, she developed her very personal painting style.
She exposed in Lucca, Riomaggiore, Pietrasanta, Pisa, Florence, Piombino.
In 2016, a personal exhibition in Fondazione Banca del Monte (Lucca).
