Pier Luigi Puccini, born in Lucca in 1948, is painter, illustrator, theater scenographer. He has a very personal and multifaceted style, half between expressionist and methaphysical., alway looking for contamination. Ironic and sharp by one side, by the other side tender and indulgent towards the “humanun errare”.
Puccini’s painting is harsh and rough, wrenching and controversial.
Brave colors, fighting in a chromatic struggle; strong features, for real and realistic characters; restless and precarious perspectives. Musicians, dancers, painters, lazy retired men, travellers, fleeting and maybe secret lovers: they dance, sing, share life moments and dilute their solitudes.
In this way, they look for and maybe they find the meaning of their lives.
