Come una volta al bar

In the restaurant Il Mecenate in Lucca, “Come una volta
al bar” (“As once upon a time in a bar”), personal exhibition
by Pier Luigi Puccini, curated by BessArte gallery.
An exhibition that is a dreamy and imaginary travel, through
dance, music, theater.
Puccini is painter, illustrator, theater scenographer. Versatile,
restless, always looking for contamination, he has a very
personal language, between expressionist and metaphysical,
somehow ironic and sharp, somehow tender and indulgent
for human wandering.
Puccini painting is sour and coarse, contrasted and moving,
with brave and strong colors. His dystonic perspectives
seem moving towards a hidden transcendence.
His characters are musicians, dancers, painters; lazy and
irreverent retirees; fleeting and clandestine lovers. They
dance, play, meet in conviviality; they melt their loneliness;
and sharing a thrill they find the meaning of life.
Or just the meaning of their lives. And that’s something.
