A dreamy and imaginary travel, through dance, music, theater.
A savage and dangerous travel, an occasional getaway or an eternal wander.
And a comfortable and festive way back to “my land”, Lucca, Viareggio, Vecchiano.
Pier Luigi Puccini displays in BessArte gallery and in Torre Guinigi his art.
Puccini is painter, illustrator, theater scenographer.
Versatile, restless, always looking for contamination, Pier Luigi Puccini has a very personal language, between expressionist and metaphysical, somehow ironic and sharp, somehow tender and indulgent for human wandering.
Puccini painting is sour and coarse, contrasted and moving.
Brave and tale colors fight in a field of chromatic combinations; his characters have strong tracts and express real, tangible, almost offensive feelings; his dystonic perspectives seem moving towards a hidden transcendence.
Musicians, dancers, painters; lazy and irreverent retirees; fleeting and clandestine lovers.
They all become, in Puccini paintings, a multi-colored human ensemble without answers but full of doubts.
They dance, play, meet in conviviality; they melt their loneliness; and sharing a thrill they find the meaning of life. Or, maybe, just the meaning of their lives, and that’s something.
